Driver Taken into Custody at Tellapur Residence
In a significant development surrounding a high-profile extortion case, law enforcement authorities in Telangana have arrested the driver of Sumanth, who previously served as the Officer on Special Duty (OSD) to Minister Konda Surekha. When the demand was not met, the group allegedly launched a physical attack on Harikrishna using iron rods.
Based on the details provided in the victim's statement, the Medipally police of the Medchal-Malkajgiri district registered an official case against Sumanth and six other individuals implicated in the conspiracy.
Procedural Transfer from Medipally to Jubilee Hills
Initially, law enforcement registered a Zero FIR at the Medipally Police Station. Under standard legal protocol, a Zero FIR allows crime victims to register an official complaint at the nearest police station, irrespective of where the alleged crime actually occurred or which jurisdiction holds administrative authority over the site of the incident.
Following the initial registration and preliminary processing, the Medipally police formally transferred the case file to the Jubilee Hills Police Station, under whose geographical jurisdiction the incident occurred.
